Description
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a non-surgical treatment that uses a patient’s own blood to aid in the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints. PRP is derived from a blood sample and concentrated to a far higher level of platelets than is normally found in the bloodstream. The concentrated platelets are then injected into the injured area. PRP therapy has been found to accelerate the healing process, reduce scarring, and improve recovery time.
